Two brand new enhancements to our advanced map search tool have just been released – Radius Search and Driver Directions
With the radius search, you can choose a center point by typing in address (Ex. 300 Main, Missoula, MT) or a city name.
In the example below, we’ve chosen “University of Montana” as our location and 2 miles as our radius. The tool then draws your chosen radius circle and selects and displays the properties meeting your other search criteria. Note that this distance is NOT the same as walking and/or driving distance, which may be greater.
Note that you can also choose to use your “browser location” as your center point – so far, it;s been fairly accurate for us on our laptops, no matter where we are.
The new driver directions feature is available in the maps tab in property detail view (see below). All you need to enter is a starting point and the it will generate driving directions for you along with a Google map of your route. Note that the default location is set to “My Current Location” (i.e., your browser location) and it seems to work equally as well as the radius search browser location.
