Since 2006, the Missoula Organization of Realtors has produced an annual state of Missoula housing report. The links below will take you to pdf copies of each of these reports. According to report by NAR Research, at the end of the 3rd quarter of 2010, 8% of homes in Montana had negative equity. From 12/1/2010 through 1/1/2011, 240 homes expired or were cancelled/withdrawn from the market in the greater Missoula area. This is by far the largest drop in inventory we’ve seen over this time period in many years. In the Missoula area, October home prices rose nearly 20% over the previous month and were up 15% from 12 months earlier. Overall, home prices for YTD sales through October were down 4.8% from 2009 home prices. Nation on edge of double-dip in home prices – Dec. 28, 2010.
